Dalian Taiping Industrial Zone of Puwan New District of the city of Dalian is making efforts to boost electrical manufacturing industrial clusters and transitional development.

So far, the zone has welcomed 55 enterprises manufacturing electric wire and cable, mutual inductor and supporting equipment with a total investment of 4.6 billion yuan ($750 million). Annual revenues total some 10 billion yuan. The zone has become the biggest wire and cable industrial base in the region, making Dalian "the capital of mutual inductors" in North China.
